bridge

Crim Dell Bridge, College of William & Mary
“Set me as a seal upon your heart, as a seal upon your arm, for love is strong as death, jealousy is fierce as the grave.  Its flashes are flashes of fire, the very flame of the Lord.” – Song of Solomon 8:6

It is rumored that if two lovers cross the bridge together and kiss at the crest,
they will be together forever.

Prayer is the bridge between our conscious and unconscious lives. Often there is a large abyss between our thoughts, words, and actions, and the many images that emerge in our daydreams and night dreams. To pray is to connect these two sides of our lives by going to the place where God dwells. -Henri Nouwen

  1. We have some ginko trees around here on two college campuses with the same legend...simultaneous kissing under the gingkos = be together forever.
